As I have already said here (Porte St Denis district), I love street food, and I don’t miss an opportunity to test an address. And here’s one, from Korean street food, next to the St Martin canal, in the district very well supplied in the Porte St Martin restaurant (article here).

At SAaM (small dishes in Korean), a small pocket restaurant, we mainly eat gua bao (steamed brioche breads with different toppings) and dupbap (rice bowls with vegetables and toppings). You can choose between the pork breast cooked at low temperature for 12 hours with its pickles, the tofu breaded with curry and avocado, the chicken marinated with 5 spices and its sesame mayo peanut sauce, to garnish your rice or gua bao. The choice is hard!

I tried the vegetal dupbap (with tofu, guacamole, teriyaki sauce) too good! And the pork and beef gua bao were perfect! Both make very good complete dishes (gua bao are served with chips or a salad) for 16 euros. It’s original, tasty and for a fair price!

What more could you ask for? A little dessert maybe? So we tested sesame crème brûlée and raspberry cheesecake, both perfect!

A great plan for lunch or dinner!
